Kent cigarettes are pioneers in introducing smoke filters back in the year 1952. From March 1952 to May 1956, they used Micronite filter while the current production includes charcoal filters. When Beatles’ first visited U.S they often participated in the promotion of Kent cigarettes brand. Radio announcements promoted Kent cigarettes as best choice for filtered yet most satisfying cigarettes with the inclusion of Micronite filter. This radio announcement was also backed by figures like Paul McCartney and John Lennon who were there at the studio.
